Biggest news of the year

Islamabad, Pakistan- It's the biggest news of the year, and it's not related to Mizzou Athletics. No, it's not MU beating Oklahoma on Homecoming weekend. It's not ESPN College GameDay coming to the Quad for a record-breaking broadcast. It's not Mary Burke winning 'Athlete of the Year' at the annual ROARS awards. It's Osama bin Laden being killed. US Navy SEAL Team 6, founded by Auburn alumni Richard Maricinko, is credited with killing the World's Most Wanted terrorist, just outside of Islamabad, Pakistan. Millions took to the streets following the news of his death in celebration...not for someone dying, but for justice finally being served. KOMU-TV8 reported that about 3,000 people packed Richmond Ave on Mizzou's campus in celebration of the word, sporting sparklers, blasting Lee Greenwood's "God Bless the USA" and erupting in a spontaneous Star Spangled Banner to go along with a MU student launching fireworks. The actual number is unknown, but Cosmo of Y107's "Cosmo & JC In The Morning" made the similarity to ESPN GameDay on the Quad. I would like to take this time to pass on my thank you to the US Military, ALL branches, for their ongoing service!
