Senior Night

Tigers honor winning-est seniors

COLUMBIA, MO- Coming off of a week in which they lost two consecutive games, the University of Missouri Tiger basketball team defeated the Iowa State Cyclones by the score of 78-72. The senior class, comprised of Steve Moore, Kim English, Ricardo Ratliffe, Marcus Denmon, Andrew Jones, and Jarrett Sutton, close out their time at Mizzou Arena with a 67-4 four-year overall record. The win, their 26th of this season, puts them as the top class in Mizzou program history with 13 conference wins. With one more game left in the regular season, the Tigers are now 26-4, 13-4 in Big 12 Conference play.

Following the game, the Mizzou seniors addressed the crowd that remained and thanked them for the past four years.

"Frank Haith is the best coach I've had in my four years here," said Kim English, from Baltimore, MD. "Thank you all, you're the best fan base in America!"

"When I first got here, I wasn't good at all," joked big 'STEEEVVVEEE' Moore, who had a superb dunk late in the game.

The Tigers clinch 2nd in the Big 12 with the win, and become the only team in the league to sweep Iowa State (21-9, 11-6)this year. Mizzou closes out their season at Texas Tech on Saturday, March 3rd. Tip off is set for 3p/CT on the Big 12 Network.
